Bhagvad Geeta 3.30

  • Question. it is very difficult, practically impossibe projects
    • Difficulties will come, but still we should do our duty.
  • Question
    • Whether one will develop discipline first or love will come first?
  • This shloka indiates very clearly the purpose of Geeta
    • The purpose if for all of us to become Krishna conscious.
    • If becoming KC is our serious goal in life, then this is the shloka to practice
  • How KC may become just another aspect of our life
    • By influence of Kaliyoga in our life.
    • We would like to be known or seen as devotees, rather then being devotees.
    • We would like to be seen as happy people rather then actually being happy.
    • Facebook, instagram
    • Showing that i am happy and on top of the world, but inside people are completely broken.
  • If the purpose in our life is serious KC
    • Then this is the shloka to practice.
  • Krsna is not giving you any options in this shloka
    • Just act for me.
    • When you act for someone, you feel that the other person will give you something.
    • But bhagwan kah rahe hai ki kuch nahi milega. nirashi
    • Bhagwan kah rahe hai ki kuch nahi milega fir bhi mere liye kaam karo.
    • ---
    • We may feel that ok i will not get anything, but at least it is my project.
    • But Krsna says. Nirmamo
    • It does not belong to you. no claim of properitership.
    •  ---
    • Hum log aisa soch sakte hai ki theek hai. Pade rahenge aise hi, cheeze hongi to hongi. nahi hongi to nahi hongi.
    • ye bhi bhagwan sweekar nahi karte.
    • युध्यस्व विगतज्वरः
    • Example.  Contibution of Prabhupad at the page at the age of 70
      • 108 temples.
      • So many books.
      • So much preaching
    • Ultimately we have to decide that becoming KC is a very very serious goal in our life.
  • Something which is as high as becoming KC, which is our goal, then do you think the price will be small.
    • Ghanti Bajao, chanting karo, be happy and hari bol.
    • Jinko bhagwan aakar dete hai, vo bahut high elevated state.
  • Example of Two stalward devotees of Prabhupad
    • HH Tamal Krsna Maharaj
      • What ever Prabhupad said. He did from thay day. No question asked.
      • He did it like a military man.
      • At some point, Prabhupad told him to go to China. And he went there also.
      • He was called by Prabhupad to assist him in his mission.
    • HH Bhakti Charu Swami Maharaj
      • He held on to GBC with whatever they say.
  • What is the secret of success in KC
    • If we are serious in becoming KC. Then we need to become a missionary, in the mission of Prabhupad, mission of Krsna. There, there is no choice. Just do it.
    • When will that desire to own something, to control something will go away. When will be become niraashi and nirmama. That Krsna will decide, dont worry about that. You just follow as if you are in military. Military man does not likes to dig a hole in siachin galciar. He does not do things because he is happy doing them.
    • So dont expect that you will be happy while doing your duties. Prabhpuad is saying that it is very difficult to work like this.
  • This is the goal. this is how we need to work.
    • To the best of our ability.
    • With increasing intensity.
    • Weather chanting the holy names.
    • Following the 4 regulative principles.
    • Whatever it is.
    • The more your contribute, the more responsibility you take. That is where you are recognised as a soldier of Lord Chaitanya's army.
    • If you want to become a soldier in Lord Chaitanya's army, then this is the Shloka.
  • This is extremely important shloka. Every line if you read it. it is so deep. We have to be really absorbant abou this particular shloka.
  • As devotees we are recommended to follow this particular shloka, that is the desire of SP.
  • It is difficult for us. But that is why we are vimoodhatma. To become vishuddhatma, this is the shloka.
